13 Arrested In Prostitution Sting Cumberland County

Thirteen men were arrested in a prostitution sting conducted by the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Human Trafficking Task Force earlier this month. The operation, known as Operation Impact Demand, took place at a hotel in Silver Spring Township, Pennsylvania.

According to the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office, the men attempted to pay for sexual activity with female escorts. This sting marks the thirteenth operation since the task force was established in 2022, with a total of 126 individuals arrested for similar offenses.

District Attorney Seán M. McCormack emphasized the operation's goal to combat human trafficking in the area. "The money individuals spend on prostitution-related activities is the money that fuels human trafficking in Cumberland County," McCormack stated. "Our message is clear – if you plan to commit this crime, do not come into Cumberland County."

The operation was conducted in collaboration with the Silver Spring Township Police Department and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. The task force aims to continue its efforts to curb human trafficking and related crimes in the region.
