Woman Stabs Alleged Trafficker on Pennsylvania Turnpike

A woman reportedly stabbed a man on the Pennsylvania Turnpike as he and another man attempted to traffic her for sex. The incident occurred on Wednesday (November 19) in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the woman acted in self-defense after being drugged and threatened by the two men, Jose Antonio Hernandez Guiterrez, 30, and Edgar Jesus Espinoza Gamboa, 28.

The woman managed to escape after stabbing Espinoza Gamboa, causing their vehicle to swerve into a highway median behind a police patrol car. Police found the woman nearby, and she used a translation app to explain that she had been kidnapped and was being trafficked to Canada. Court documents revealed that the woman was initially picked up in Missouri, with her boyfriend in Mexico allegedly arranging for the men to transport her to Canada for $2,000.

During a search of the vehicle, police discovered stun guns, zip ties, and a notepad with information related to human trafficking. Both men have been charged with human trafficking, simple assault, and terroristic threats. The investigation is ongoing, and the woman is receiving support from authorities.
