A woman was arrested following a stabbing incident and subsequent crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Blue Mountain Tunnel in Franklin County on Wednesday (November 19). According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the incident began when a truck crashed into the median. Upon arrival, troopers found the driver with a stab wound.
While administering first aid to the driver, a woman exited the vehicle and attempted to flee into nearby woods. Troopers pursued and apprehended her shortly thereafter. The driver was airlifted to Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, though their condition remains unknown.
The investigation revealed that the woman did not know the two male occupants of the vehicle. She reportedly believed she was being taken to New York but discovered she was actually being driven to Philadelphia. The woman claimed she feared being coerced into sexual activity upon arrival in Philadelphia.
The two men, identified as Jose Antonio Hernandez Guiterrez, 30, and Edgar Jesus Espinoza Gamboa, 28, have been charged with human trafficking, simple assault, and terroristic threats. They are currently incarcerated at Franklin County Prison. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to gather more details about the incident.
