A house fire in Winterstown, Pennsylvania, spread to a nearby field on Sunday (November 16), fueled by strong wind gusts reaching up to 50 miles per hour. The fire broke out around 10 a.m. in the 12600 block of Winterstown Road, according to dispatch records. Firefighters from multiple departments responded to the scene to battle the flames, which spread across approximately ten acres of land.

Local21 News reported that the wind played a significant role in the fire's rapid spread. Despite the challenging conditions, fire crews managed to contain the blaze by early afternoon. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the house involved was declared a total loss.

According to ABC27, firefighters were concerned about the fire potentially spreading further over a hill to nearby roads. The fire required the assistance of brush units, an air unit, and multiple tankers to bring it under control. Crews began clearing the scene around 1 p.m.

As reported by PennLive, the strong winds were a major challenge for firefighters, who worked tirelessly to prevent further spread. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
