Woman Admits to Stabbing Boyfriend in Lebanon County

In Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, Katlynn Kearney, 32, has admitted to fatally stabbing her boyfriend, 45-year-old Dontay Hunter, during a fight at their apartment. The incident occurred last weekend, and police discovered Hunter's body after responding to a well-being check at the 800 block of Chestnut Street on Sunday (October 5). Upon arrival, officers found Hunter deceased with significant blood on his right torso.

Surveillance footage captured Kearney and Hunter entering the apartment around 8 p.m. on October 4. Shortly after, Kearney was seen leaving the apartment and meeting her mother, Joanne Kearney, 61, at a nearby apartment. Joanne later entered the apartment and was heard saying, "He's dead."

Katlynn Kearney admitted to police that she stabbed Hunter twice after an argument turned physical. She also confessed that her mother helped dispose of the evidence by placing the knife and Katlynn's clothes in a plastic bag, which Katlynn later discarded in a dumpster. Officers retrieved the bag, which contained a knife with blood on the blade, from a dumpster on Chestnut Street.

Both Katlynn and Joanne Kearney have been charged with tampering with evidence, as reported by PennLive. They are currently held in Lebanon County Jail, each with a bail set at $250,000. Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for October 16. The investigation into the homicide is ongoing, led by the Lebanon County District Attorney's office and the Lebanon City Police Department.
