A 17-year-old named Miguel Ramos faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, after a shooting incident in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. On Saturday (July 5), Ramos allegedly fired gunshots through the front door of a home on the 500 block of South Christian Street, injuring a man in the hand.
According to the Lancaster City Bureau of Police, officers responded to the scene around 5:22 p.m. and quickly located the victim, who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Ramos was apprehended shortly after the incident at approximately 5:45 p.m.
Authorities believe that Ramos and the victim knew each other. In addition to attempted murder, Ramos is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm by a minor, carrying a firearm without a license, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, flight to avoid apprehension, and possession of marijuana.
The Lancaster City Bureau of Police has confirmed that Ramos will be charged as an adult. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge as the case progresses.
