Lawsuit Over Student's Hair Being Cut Dismissed
(Dauphin County, PA) -- A lawsuit claiming a student at a Harrisburg school had her hair cut without her consent is being dismissed. WHP-TV reports a judge has approved a motion filed by St. Margaret Mary's School to drop the case. The student's parents sued the school after her hair got stuck to a piece of Velcro and a teacher cut it to free her. They claimed her hair was long as part of her family religious beliefs.
