ICE-T: Caught on Camera Cursing Out Cop

The rapper-turned-actor was visibly annoyed when he got pulled over for some expired plates -- and let the officer in question know it.

TeeRoy's 2 Cents?:

  • Law & Order loves to do those episodes inspired by real events. It’d be pretty funny to see Ice-T’s Detective Tutuola on the other side of one of these types of encounters.
  • The phrase "effing a-hole" is actually a term of endearment in the garden state.
  • I mean, you’re talking about the guy who made a whole record called “Cop Killer” and you’re asking for him to respect you?
  • Look, we've all probably let some sort of paperwork or something slip at some point. But what excuse is there for driving around with long expired plates when you're rich and famous?
  • Shout out to Ice-T for knowing his rights and standing his ground.

He might play a cop on TV, but that doesn’t mean he’s always on their side in real life.

Just check out the recently released clip of rapper-turned-actor Ice-T. The Law & Order: SVU star was seen in bodycam footage calling a New Jersey police officer an “[effing] [a-hole]” after a traffic stop over some long expired plates. The cop in question pulled Ice over after spotting some tags that expired all the way back in 2021. The thing is, Ice says he just-so-happened to be on his way to the DMV to make things current — a claim that the officer seemed skeptical of.

Things started ramping up when the cop threatened to tow the Porsche. That was enough for Ice, who despite his name, was starting to get headed, and stated, “If I’m not under arrest, I’m getting out of the car” before demanding the officer return his paperwork, calling him some words we can’t repeat on the radio without getting fined. When he notices the encounter is being recorded, Ice-T seems grateful, saying, “Get this on camera…I’m a foot away from the DMV.”

A little later, a sergeant shows up and decides to play good cop. He can be seen telling Ice that he actually tried to convince his officer to only write two tickets — though he was unsuccessful, resulting in four total tickets. In the end, he got his keys back and defiantly responded to the officer, whose parting words were “Just show some respect” with “I don’t have to.” (TMZ)
