Travis Scott, La Flame and his Cactus Jack Foundation gifted free school supplies to 1,000 teachers across Houston.

Travis’s “Teacher Supply Drive” was met with a huge response by teachers signing up to collect the care packages and gift cards.

“We wanted to show our love and support for these school teachers because they are such a core essential part to the cultivation of young students and young leaders,” said Scott’s sister, Jordan Webster, who is the spokesperson for the Cactus Jack Foundation. “To be able to know that we’ve been able to provide some relief for them today is what we wanted to happen today.”

Earlier this year, Travis Scott gave Black college students monetary incentive to become graduates.

Scott awarded $1 million in scholarships to 100 students at HBCUs that are slated to graduate in 2022. Scott’s Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund is donating $10K to each student who graduates with a 3.5 GPA.

The donations went to 38 HBCU seniors from Alabama A&M University, Central State University, Jackson State University, Morehouse College, Texas Southern University, Grambling State University, Xavier University of Louisiana, and Prairie View A&M University.

The scholarships are part of Scott’s Project HEAL, which was established after the Astroworld tragedy.
