(Harrisburg, PA) -- The worst commercial nuclear accident in the U.S. is the subject of a new limited series showing on Netflix. The new documentary called Meltdown: Three Mile Island debuted yesterday on the streaming service. The series covers the accident at the plant in March 1979 that started with a mechanical failure and became compounded by human error and delays in notifying the public. The incident was rated on the International Nuclear Event Scale at a Level Five, just below the Chernobyl disaster, which was rated a Level Seven.
