Country star Gavin Adcock blasted Beyoncé‘s Cowboy Carter during a profanity-laced rant caught on video.

In the now-viral clip, Adcock was performing onstage when he unleashed his critique of Beyoncé's country album.

“You can tell her we’re coming for her f**king a**,” Adcock said during a performance, noting that Cowboy Carter had performed better than his album on the charts. “That sh** ain’t country music, and it ain’t ever been country music, and it ain’t gonna be country music.”

Warning: Explicit

The country musician doubled down on his stance after his rant surfaced on social media.

“When I was a little kid, my mama was blasting some Beyoncé in the car,” Adcock said in an Instagram video. “I’ve heard a ton of Beyoncé songs, and I actually remember her Super Bowl halftime show being pretty kick a** back in the day. But I really don’t believe that her album should be labeled as country music.”

“It doesn’t sound country. It doesn’t feel country. And I just don’t think that people that have dedicated their whole lives to this genre and this lifestyle should have to compete or watch that album just to stay at the top just because she’s Beyoncé," he added.

Adcock captioned his post, “It just ain’t country.”

Despite Adcock's criticism, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter has produced country chart-topping hits, sold out shows across the nation, and snagged the Grammy for Best Country Album earlier this year.
