Lil Uzi Vert is reportedly recovering after a medical emergency, according to Ye.
On Wednesday afternoon, April 23, the controversial rapper posted a screenshot of his text messages with Digital Nas. In their conversation, the producer sent screenshots of his exchange with one of Uzi's associates, who had some secondhand knowledge of the "Just Wanna Rock" rapper's condition. The person claimed Uzi was just "dehydrated," but confirmed they were okay. Once Ye got the word, he decided to spread the word to his 33 million followers on X.
"UZI is okay," Ye wrote in his X post.
Paramedics were called to tend to Lil Uzi Vert around 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Uzi was reportedly "sick" and needed medical attention. In footage TMZ released, Uzi was loaded into an ambulance while security used black umbrellas to cover the artist. Uzi was conscious while paramedics treated the 29-year-old artist. Uzi's girlfriend, JT, was there while the first responders treated the rapper. Uzi was taken to the emergency room and stayed overnight.
It's not clear what happened exactly to Lil Uzi Vert. Despite the update from Uzi's cousin, there's no word on what the Generation Now signee went through before the ambulance arrived. The Philly native was still in the hospital when the video was released, but it seems like they're doing ok now. Neither Uzi nor JT has posted any updates to their social media accounts.
