Snoop Dogg has teamed up with NBCUniversal to produce his biopic along with other film and TV projects as part of the veteran artist's new partnership with the network.

NBCUniversal chairman Donna Langley announced the new deal with Snoop on Wednesday, April 23. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Snoop secured a first-look contract with NBCUniversal for all his forthcoming projects in film, TV, sports and streaming. As part of the deal, the Death Row Pictures owner will return as a judge for "The Voice" and move forward with a feature-length film about his life.

“Not everyone has the courage and vision to see what Death Row Pictures can bring to the table, but Donna and the NBCUniversal team have always understood, which is why I am proud to call NBCUniversal my new home," Snoop Dogg said in a statement. "The Dogg has officially moved into the neighborhood, ya dig?”

“There’s only one Snoop, and we’re so excited for him to join our unbelievable roster of creative partners,” Langley said.

Snoop Dogg has already established an incredible rapport with the network over the past year. Before he joined "The Voice," Tha Doggfather took over the Olympics as a commentator for NBC Sports. Snoop made plenty of headlines in Paris from the moment he carried the Olympic torch to his epic performance with Dr. Dre during the closing ceremonies in Los Angeles.

The announcement was made ahead of the release of his upcoming gospel-inspired album Altar Call. The album will feature artists from Death Row's roster as well as other acts including Jamie Foxx, Jazze Pha and more. The album drops this Sunday, April 27.
