Abolition:
Exploring and reconsidering the impact of eliminating a system, practice, or institution.
- Examples of topics could include: History & Legacy of Othering & Oppression
Desegregation:
Examining the process of separation that led to our communal harm as well as halted our ability to merge authentically and strategically:
- Examples of topics could include: Housing, Homeowner, Homeownership Mortgage Programs, Homeownership Counseling, and Grant Opportunities
Trauma:
Exploring as well as reconciling the generational harm that has impacted the success/opportunity of Black people:
- Examples of topics could include: Education/Art, Health and Wellness, Financial Literacy
Safe Passage:
Understanding how we can often be our own barriers to our liberation. This is about creating space around the access to information that supports our liberation.
- Examples of topics could include: Rental Assistance Programs, Public Safety, Business Development, Children/Teen Programs & Support/Resources
Legacy of Healing:
Creating space to write new narratives that stem from our segregation and lack of unification as people as well as a culture. With this new space, we write new legacies rooted in using our healed selves to create better communities for our intended future.
